Welcome to Win It Like A Woman! My name is Rebecca Schenck and I am a Mass Media major at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am a defense(wo)man for the Women’s Club Lacrosse Team and have been playing for 6 years now. I am going to minor in Gender and Women’s Studies and while there are a lot of important issues discussed in those classes I wish we would at least touch on the lack of support in women’s sports.
So, that is why I made this blog. To inform my readers on the history of women’s sports in hope that it will grow more so. To teach the difference between men and women’s programs from youth to professional. To support the great athletes in our past, present, and future. And to spread the love for some healthy female competition.
